no, that is the great fallacy: the wisdom of old men. they do not grow wise, they grow careful - ernest hemingway

by Chirag Bangdel
The purring is calm on the streets outside
Not a paw print to be seen
The cat flap if isolation
And it looks like I’m the queen
The strays are meowing
And I have a fur ball inside
Couldn’t keep it in
Heaven knows I’ve tried
Let it Meow
Let it Meow
Can’t hold it in anymore
Let it Meow
Let it Meow
Can’t stand the pets next door
Here I stretch
And here I play
Let the dogs bark on
Their howls never bothered me anyway
It’s funny how some cat food makes everything okay
And the collar that once defined me was left on holiday
It’s time to pee up on that tree
Be free to mark my territory
No fights, cat calls, or rules for me
I’m free
